Madeira: floresta Laurissilva

As decisões tomadas pelo Comité do Património Mundial da Unesco, que decorreu em Sevilha, entre 22 e 30 de Junho, já se encontram disponíveis online (versão inglês em word, aqui e versão francês em word, aqui). Décision : 33 COM 7B.25
Le Comité du patrimoine mondial,
1. Ayant examiné le document WHC-09/33.COM/7B,
2. Prend note du rapport détaillé et de l'Évaluation d'impact environnemental (EIE) menée conformément aux normes internationales remis par l'État partie sur le projet de téléphérique avec trois gares, dont une est située sur le territoire du bien du patrimoine mondial;
3. Constate avec inquiétude que l'EIE n'a pas directement pris en compte la valeur universelle exceptionnelle du bien comme des points fondamentaux de l'évaluation du projet;
4. Demande à l'État partie entreprenne rapidement une évaluation des impacts potentiels du projet sur la valeur universelle exceptionnelle du bien, et de prendre pleinement ceux-ci en compte lors de la mise en oeuvre de chaque phase du projet;
5. Prend également note des informations faisant état d'une amélioration de l'interprétation, des équipements éducatifs et d'information des visiteurs, y compris d'un centre d'interprétation à créer conformément à la décision adoptée par le Comité du patrimoine mondial à sa 23e session (Marrakech, 1999);
6. Demande également à l'État partie de remettre au Centre du patrimoine mondial, d’ici le 1er février 2010, un rapport mis à jour sur l'achèvement du projet de téléphérique, sur l'évaluation rapide des impacts sur la valeur universelle exceptionnelle du bien, ainsi que sur la mise en oeuvre d'un centre d'interprétation et d'un système de suivi du bien, pour examen par le Centre du patrimoine mondial et l'UICN.

The World Heritage Committee,
1. Having examined Document WHC-09/33.COM/7B,
2. Acknowledges the detailed report and environmental impact assessment (EIA) according to international standards provided by the State Party on the cable car project consisting of three stations of which one station is located within the inscribed property;
3. Notes with concern that the EIA did not directly consider the Outstanding Universal Value of the property as a key consideration in its evaluation of the project;
4. Requests that the State Party carry out a rapid assessment of the possible impacts of the project on the Outstanding Universal Value of the property, and to take these fully into account at each implementation phase of the project;
5. Also notes the information on improving the interpretation, education facilities and visitor information at the property, including an interpretation centre to be created in line with the decision adopted by the World Heritage Committee at its 23rd session (Marrakesh 1999);
6. Also requests the State Party to submit to the World Heritage Centre, by 1 February 2010, an updated report on the completion of the cable car project, the rapid assessment on impacts on the Outstanding Universal Value of the property, as well as the implementation of the interpretation centre and the monitoring system for the property, for review by the World Heritage Centre and IUCN.
